Refreshed and ready for session 5. Firmly in the realm of sonics now; tweaking pianos, cementing the rhythm section, sculpting each piece and pulling everything together. And creating bass dirt with whatever is to hand…
First holiday in years… some preparatory listening before another studio visit for further mixing.
Doghouse session 3, setting up two more tracks then straight into initial bass recording. We end with four tracks of bass in the can.
Session 2 in The Doghouse, revisiting STROKES and SERTRALINE… shaping the overall sound as a loose template for the next tracks.
Back from Glasgow with the first two tracks in great shape. A big shout to Rico at The Doghouse for his sonic crafting and treatments, and to Gerry Gregory for his engineering stamina.
A hugely enjoyable session mastering demo clips with the supremely patient Jon Jetter at Right Angle Recording. Great to hang out with him and his toys again. And a chance to take elevator portraits.
